The next day Wirral’s most likely kooks are again decked out as no-one has ever seen them before. NME has brought them a load of costumes inspired by the early 20th century German expressionist film The Cabinet of Dr Caligari. James decides against the straitjacket and goes for the “Jack The Ripper costume”. Nick’s look is dubbed “Scouse Amish” by Ian and Lee’s is described as “boss, like Bela Lugosi” by James. Ian customises his outfit by creating headgear out of coat hangers, light bulbs and sunglasses from the hotel’s lost property. James stumbles on a broken iron, pops the plug under his top hat and hands the appliance to Nick. This is how James and Nick spend the next six hours - Siamese twins joined by an iron-attached umbilical cord. They don’t even separate when Skelly goes for a wizz. Honestly.
